Crafted at Copeland Distillery in Donaghadee, County Down, Copeland 26.5 is a double-distilled Single Pot Still Irish whiskey, celebrating one of Ireland’s most distinctive traditional whiskey styles. Initially matured in bourbon casks, it is then finished in Château Palmer Grand Cru Bordeaux wine casks, bringing together the creamy, spicy character of pot still whiskey with the depth and complexity of prestigious red-wine oak. Expect a balance of sweet vanilla, toasted oak and traditional pot still spice, complemented by rich dark-fruit character and elegant wine-cask influence. Marking Copeland’s first Single Pot Still trade release since 25.4 in December 2025, it is one of the distillery’s final two numbered releases of 2026. Copeland has indicated that no further whiskeys for export are expected until at least March 2027, making this a particularly notable release for the international market.
