Produced for Copeland Distillery’s Merchants’ Quay range, Green Label is a distinctive blended Irish whiskey combining grain whiskey matured in first-fill American bourbon and re-charred casks with malt whiskies matured in Pedro Ximénez sherry and Banyuls dessert-wine casks. The grain whiskey provides a soft, mellow foundation, while the wine-cask finishes add richness and fruity complexity. Aromas of foam banana sweets, blackcurrant and raspberry jam are complemented by vanilla, oak and roasted walnut. The palate brings apricot marmalade, green apple, fresh bread and gentle clove spice, leading to a mellow, medium-dry finish with lingering vanilla.
