This independent Islay single malt from That Boutique-y Whisky Company captures the island’s distinctive combination of maritime character, earthy smoke and robust malt. The nose offers linseed, fennel seed and cereal notes, lifted by lemon and a subtle sooty aroma. On the palate, yellow plum and fragrant spice emerge alongside an oily texture, while the finish brings lingering wood smoke, cask char and a hint of cumin. Its smoky, savoury profile makes it a compelling choice for drinkers who enjoy Islay whiskies with character beyond straightforward peat intensity. Perfect for: Peated-whisky enthusiasts and contemplative sipping.
