A medium-full bodied, fairly typical Aussie Shiraz, which is not as heavy as some of its counterparts. Oozing dark fruits with light peppery spices and wafts of dark chocolate. One of the newest names, yet oldest grape varieties, Shiraz is actually a hybrid of two now obscure grape varieties, Dureza and Mondeuse Blanche. It was incorrectly thought to have come from the city of Shiraz in Iran, where historically, some of the world's finest wines came from. A warm and spicy red with blackberries, cherries and damsons on a medium-full bodied palate. This is an easy wine to enjoy on its own as the tannins and fruit are so well intergrated. It's also a good match for everday pasta dishes, chorizo, bbq, prawns pil pil and dark chocolate.
