Virginia Distillery Co.’s Cider Cask Finish explores the meeting of American single malt whisky and the character of cider-seasoned oak. The malt-based spirit is given additional maturation in cider casks, creating a profile that complements the cereal sweetness of the whisky with orchard-fruit character. Expect a combination of malt, apple-led fruitiness, gentle vanilla and warming oak spice, with a rounded finish that reflects the influence of the finishing cask. It offers a distinctive expression within the distillery’s experimental approach to American single malt maturation. Perfect for: Whisky enthusiasts seeking an orchard-fruit-led alternative to traditional bourbon-cask expressions.
