Virginia Distillery Co.’s Port Cask Reserve is an American single malt made from 100% malted barley. After years of maturation in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, the whisky is finished in traditional tawny Port casks sourced from Portuguese producers alongside Port-style wine casks from Virginia. This finishing process introduces a rich combination of fruit and oak, with aromas of honeycomb and walnuts leading into gingerbread, bright lemon, red berries, soft smoke and cocoa on the palate. The result is a layered malt with sweetness, gentle spice and wine-cask depth. Perfect for: After-dinner sipping and whisky drinkers who enjoy wine-cask finishes.
